Stats Perform has successfully renewed its accreditation for the collection and distribution of sports event data for betting, following an independent audit from eCOGRA.

In January 2021, Stats Perform became the first sports data supplier to receive IBIA accreditation, demonstrating its commitment to integrity and quality standards.

Stats Perform Chief Betting Officer, Andrew Ashenden, expressed pride in being the first company to receive the accreditation and highlighted the ongoing efforts of their sports data operations teams.

IBIA created data standards protocols in October 2020 to combat betting-related corruption and ensure high integrity standards in sports data collection and distribution.

The successful renewal of the Data Standards accreditation by Stats Perform underscores the significance of these requirements and the value provided by betting data providers, according to IBIA Chief Executive Khalid Ali.

To meet IBIA criteria, Stats Perform had to adhere to regulations regarding personnel vetting and training, data collation processes, data integrity and reporting.

Stats Perform must also hold all data for a minimum of three years and clearly indicate the source, whether generated in-person at the venue, via television, or another method.

Data collection is carried out by individuals aged 18 and above who undergo background checks and identity verification.

Thorough risk assessments for all sporting events or competitions are conducted by Stats Perform as part of their accreditation requirements.

As the longest serving associate member of IBIA, Stats Perform continues to provide services from its integrity division, including the provision of Intelligence Insights and Alerts service and a pre-match risk assessment program in football.

Jake Marsh, Stats Perform’s Global Head of Integrity, emphasized their dedication to positive influence in the sport integrity ecosystem and the importance of supporting the Data Standards accreditation.

Stats Perform collaborates closely with IBIA and its members on additional projects related to intelligence and risk assessment in order to strengthen their commitment to the betting industry and the protection of sport.
