Cherry-owned online gaming solutions provider Yggdrasil has established a new publishing division with the aim of providing customers with the tools to build their own B2B gaming business.
Yggdrasil will franchise its entire business, including its current and future content portfolio, gamification and advanced platform technology, and Game Adaption Tools and Interface (GATI) product.
Partners will be able to create their own end-to-end igaming offering by licensing any elements of Yggdrasil’s gaming eco-system with all technology and functions.
The Yggdrasil Publishing segment will include YG Franchise for licensing the supplier’s gaming platform, YG Masters for game development and distribution resources, and YG Game IP for licensing games.
Björn Krantz, a NetEnt veteran, has been appointed as head of publishing to lead the new segment.
The aim is to give operators, studios, and suppliers the tools, tech, and knowledge to control their content production and distribution and create unique player experiences.
This new publishing business will significantly change the industry’s approach to content creation, publishing, and distribution.
Yggdrasil is known for its highly innovative online gaming content, platform, and software solutions, and this move takes it to another level altogether.
