The ICE and InnovateChange Affiliate London events, originally scheduled for February 2022, have been postponed and will now take place at the ExCeL London in spring this year. Clarion Gaming, the event host, has announced the change in venue and dates. The two shows will feature over 700 industry exhibitors in total. Clarion Gaming is currently conducting due diligence to finalize two potential dates in April, in collaboration with the senior management team at the ExCeL.
This news has been disappointing for all those involved with ICE London and InnovateChange Affiliate London, according to Stuart Hunter, the managing director of Clarion Gaming. He mentioned that the rapidly changing situation surrounding the pandemic made it impossible to provide the necessary certainty for logistical planning, including stand construction, equipment transportation, flight bookings, and accommodation arrangements. After consulting with the industry, it was decided that moving the shows to April would be the best way forward for the ICE brand.
Hunter expressed his regret that they won’t be able to celebrate their return in February but expressed confidence in the brand’s ability to rebound in spring. Clarion Gaming’s group managing director, Alex Pratt, along with the management team, will be working during the Christmas week to finalize the new dates for ICE London and InnovateChange Affiliate London 2022. The shows were in excellent shape before the worsening Covid-19 situation, with increased attendee registrations and exhibitor numbers compared to the previous edition in 2020.
Hunter expressed gratitude to the industry for its patience and understanding during these uncertain times.
