Playtech, a leading gaming software company, is currently based in the Isle of Man. However, the board has proposed relocating to the mainland UK in early 2021, citing various advantages for the business. The move would enable the company to conduct board meetings, make decisions, and hold shareholder meetings in the UK, which is expected to enhance shareholder engagement. This proposal will be discussed at a general meeting in the Isle of Man on 18 December.
In addition, Playtech has entered into a new partnership with Casumo, an operator in Sweden, Denmark, Spain, and the UK. Under the agreement, Playtech will provide its casino and live dealer software for Casumo’s brands, starting with the Casumo brand itself. This collaboration will later extend to other brands within Casumo’s portfolio, including Dunder, Kazoom Casino, and CasinoSecret. The deal encompasses Playtech’s wide range of branded content, such as Justice League and the Sporting Legends Suite, as well as its premium live casino and table games portfolio.
Casumo’s CEO, Shelly Suter-Hadad, expressed excitement about the partnership, referring to Casumo as an innovative operator in the gaming industry. Playtech’s COO, Shimon Akad, also expressed optimism about the collaboration’s future development.
