BoyleSports, a gambling operator, has acquired the majority of the retail portfolio belonging to Northern Irish bookmaker Gregory Hughes. This acquisition involves the purchase of six HugesBet shops located in various parts of Northern Ireland, including four in County Tyrone and two in Armagh. The exact terms of the deal have not been disclosed. With this purchase, BoyleSports will now have a total of 45 retail shops in Northern Ireland, having previously acquired 33 locations from William Hill earlier this year in January. These acquired HughesBet shops will be rebranded as BoyleSports outlets and will be upgraded to meet the high standards expected by BoyleSports customers. This expansion in Northern Ireland follows BoyleSports’ entry into the retail betting market in Great Britain in June 2019 through the acquisition of Midlands-based bookmaker Wilf Gilbert. At that time, BoyleSports took over 13 licensed betting offices in the West Midlands region.
