Better Collective’s strategic acquisition of Playmaker Capital

Better Collective completed the acquisition of Playmaker Capital valued at €176m, making it the market leader in South America and strengthening its position in North America.

CEO Jesper Søgaard expressed excitement about the deal and the vision of becoming the leading digital sports media group.

The acquisition of Playmaker HQ in July 2023 for $54m expanded Better Collective’s audience and enabled the use of Playmaker HQ’s sponsorship sales knowledge for monetization.

Other acquisitions in 2023 include Tipsbladet.dk, Torcedores.com, SvenskaFans.com, HockeySverige.se, Fotbolldirekt.se, InnebandyMagazinet.se, and Skycon Limited.
