The acquisition of Camelot Lottery Solutions by Allwyn has resulted in the companies becoming wholly-owned subsidiaries of Allwyn. There are no planned changes to the leadership team of Camelot Lottery Solutions, and the business will continue as usual. The acquisition was finalized in January, with the financial terms remaining undisclosed.
Camelot Lottery Solutions, operating through its subsidiary Camelot Illinois LLC, is the operator of the Illinois Lottery under a private management agreement.
Allwyn’s acquisition of Camelot Lottery Solutions reflects the significance of the US market for Allwyn’s future growth. Wayne Pickup, CEO of Camelot Lottery Solutions Group, affirmed that this acquisition will strengthen operations in Illinois and benefit the state and customers.
Allwyn announced discussions to acquire Camelot UK Lotteries, the current operator of the UK National Lottery, in October 2022. The agreement was reached the following month, and Allwyn will take over as the operator of the UK National Lottery on 1 February 2024. Allwyn was awarded the fourth UK National Lottery license in September 2022.
