Nairobi-based BetLion has partnered with 888Africa to enhance their betting and gaming offerings in Africa. With licences in Kenya, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, BetLion brings local expertise and a tailored front-end experience to 888Africa’s platform. This collaboration not only expands 888Africa’s presence in Africa but also adds over three million registered customers. By leveraging BetLion’s talent and technology, 888Africa aims to establish a leading position in the African market.

BetLion, founded by Victor Chandler in 2017, specializes in delivering high-quality and mobile-first betting and igaming solutions to customers in East Africa. They utilize a customized front-end solution and FSB’s sportsbook technology to optimize the user experience.

As a joint venture between 888 and industry veterans, 888Africa has ambitious plans for the African market. Currently operational in Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, and Zambia, 888Africa benefits from BetLion’s customer base of three million users. While 888 holds a minority stake in the joint venture, they have the option to increase their ownership in the future.
