The 2021 live standardbred horse racing season will be divided into two parts: March 19th – June 26th and October 1st – December 18th.

The track has received permission to simulcast races to and from the venue and conduct simulcast pari-mutuel wagering throughout next year, excluding 4 April, 25 November, and 24-25 December.

Richard S. Kalm, MGCB executive director, is hopeful that the 2021 sports-betting season will be successful, despite the obstacles experienced by live horse racing in the past year.

The approval of mobile betting strengthens Michigan’s horse racing industry, enticing new fans to the sport.

The 2020 live sports-betting season was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, it eventually started on 14 August.

The initially scheduled opening date of 20 March was pushed back.

The current sports-betting season includes 36 live racing dates instead of the originally scheduled 52 and will conclude on 12 December.
