Under the agreement, Kambi will provide its sports betting solutions to Scooore’s online and retail platforms. Scooore, a sports betting brand operating in Belgium since 2012, has over 300 retail sports betting locations and an established online presence in the country. Kambi secured this supply deal through a competitive public tender process.
“Kambi’s expertise in digital retail and its flexible technology give us confidence that this partnership will offer engaging sports betting experiences for our players online and in our physical locations,” said Loterie Nationale CEO Jannie Haek.
Kambi CEO Kristian Nylén added, “The lottery has ambitious plans to expand its sports betting reach, and we are excited to contribute to their goals with the power and adaptability of the Kambi sportsbook.”
This agreement comes in light of an increase in compliance failures in the Belgian land-based gambling sector, as reported by the country’s Gaming Commission. However, the number of revoked licenses for non-compliance decreased compared to the previous year.
Last month, Kambi extended its technology partnership with LeoVegas to include all of the online gambling operator’s sportsbooks. This means that LeoVegas’ sports betting brands, such as BetUK and 21.co.uk, will now be powered by Kambi. In July, Kambi reported a slight increase in revenue for the first half of the year, despite a decline in second-quarter revenue. However, the total profit for the first half decreased compared to the previous year.
