Continued Decline in Indiana Sports Betting Handle for July

In July, consumers spent $256.3m on sports betting.

This amount was 19.4% lower than the previous month but 6.2% higher than the same period last year.

In July, $76.1m was bet on baseball, $16.1m on basketball, and $2.9m on football.

The breakdown of the total betting amount in July is as follows:

  • Baseball: $76.1m
  • Basketball: $16.1m
  • Football: $2.9m

A total of $53.5 million in parlay bets were placed, with an additional $56.8 million wagered on various other sports.

The taxable adjusted gross revenue from sports betting in July was $20.9m, representing a significant increase compared to the previous month and the same period last year. In June, there was a 32.3% growth, while in July 2021, the revenue rose by 19.4%.
