August Sees Resurgence in DC Sports Betting with $13.1m Handle

Player spending for the month amounted to $13.1m, which was 15.9% higher than the previous month and also 5.7% up from the same month last year. Gross gaming revenue from sports betting during the month reached $1.8m, comfortably surpassing the previous month’s revenue by 50.0%, while this was also 20.0% higher than the revenue in the same month last year.

Here are the top-performing operators in the DC market:

  • Caesars: $683,326 revenue from a handle of $5.7m
  • Gambet: $557,987 revenue from $3.4m in player spending
  • BetMGM: $362,462 revenue from a handle of $2.5m
  • FanDuel: $170,938 revenue from a handle of $1.0m (first full month of operation)
  • Grand Central Restaurant, Bar and Sportsbook: $57,973 revenue from $450,500 in bets
