1 Min Read

Senate Bill 7536 seeks to enhance the scope of mobile sports betting by enabling agreements between operators and different venues.

The bill proposes the placement of self-service mobile sports betting kiosks in various locations related to sports and betting.

  • Off-track betting corporations
  • Professional sports stadiums or arenas
  • Franchised corporations
  • Licensed racetracks
  • Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens

These kiosks would provide convenient access to sports betting options for individuals interested in placing bets on events and races.

Resorts World, the operator of video lottery terminals, plans to install kiosks at the Aqueduct Racetrack for sports-betting. However, the timeline for this installation has been delayed.

In the context of sports-betting, SB7536 stipulates that there must be a 12-month delay before the approval of any agreement between an operator and a racetrack.

Similarly, agreements with stadiums or arenas may take up to 20 months for approval.
