According to Uefa, an investigation will focus on Ibrahimović’s alleged financial interest in an unnamed betting company, which would violate the Code of Ethics set by Fifa. Ibrahimović is said to be part-owner of Bethard through his Unknown AB business. He began working with Bethard in 2018 in an ambassadorial and development role while playing for AC Milan in Serie A. The investigation is based on section four of article 31 of Uefa’s Disciplinary Regulations, which allows for investigations into alleged wrongdoing.
