The ‘Race Against Manipulation’ campaign aims to target various stakeholders within the motorsport community worldwide, including drivers, team personnel, officials, volunteers, event organizers, FIA staff and consultants. This initiative will be conducted through a dedicated online learning platform developed in collaboration with Sportradar Integrity Services.
The primary objective of this platform is to educate visitors on recognizing the behavior of fixers, understanding their obligations to report incidents, and comprehending the consequences of manipulation. Each participant will be required to complete a 30-minute tutorial, upon which they will receive an FIA certificate.
FIA president Jean Todt emphasizes the importance of safeguarding the integrity of motorsport and the necessity of remaining vigilant. The president believes that education is the most effective approach in achieving this goal. Therefore, he encourages all individuals involved in the sport to utilize the ‘Race Against Manipulation’ platform to recognize potential threats and report misconduct.
FIA secretary general for sport, Peter Bayer, considers the user-friendly nature of this platform as a significant milestone for both the FIA and the motorsports industry. It aims to raise awareness of the International Sporting Code’s specific contents and provides an informative and entertaining approach to understanding competition manipulation.
