Sportradar and Asian Football Confederation strengthen integrity partnership for social responsibility

The renewed integrity deal between Sportradar and the AFC will run from 2024 to 2027. This extends their partnership to 14 years since it began in 2013. Sportradar will continue working with the AFC on various integrity matters, including efforts to combat match-fixing in Asian football. They will use new technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance integrity in Asian football.

The renewal of the deal was agreed upon on January 11th, on the eve of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup in Qatar. AFC president, Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, appreciates the extended partnership and the positive impact it has had in preventing match-fixing in Asia. Sportradar CEO Carsten Koerl also acknowledges the value of collaboration and a shared vision in protecting the integrity of AFC competitions. They recognize the role of technology, and the potential of AI and machine learning in addressing challenges like corruption in sports.
