Rivalry has become the first RGC accredited site to incorporate esports, making it a pioneer in this field.
The RG Check programme is a social responsibility accreditation that ensures igaming sites possess the necessary tools for monitoring, evaluating, and managing gambling risks.
In Ontario, the acquisition of this accreditation is mandatory for operators seeking entry into the regulated igaming market. Upon launching in Ontario, operators have two years to complete the programme.
“Obtaining RG Check Accreditation is of great importance to us as it showcases our dedication to creating a secure gaming environment for customers,” stated Steven Salz, CEO of Rivalry. “This accreditation serves as the gold standard for responsible gambling controls, and it is our responsibility to educate our players and empower them to make informed decisions about their gambling activities.”
Rivalry’s focus on socially responsible gaming provides them with a competitive advantage, building trust and transparency with customers and brand partners through innovative tools that engage players in new and exciting ways. The company also looks forward to expanding its relationship with the RGC on a global scale.
In October 2021, Rivalry applied for an Ontario sports betting and igaming license. The sportsbook was successfully launched alongside the regulated market in April 2022.
Shelley White, CEO of RGC, commended Rivalry on achieving the Responsible Gambling Council’s RG Check igaming accreditation for Rivalry.com. This accomplishment demonstrates Rivalry’s commitment to player protection throughout its operations. The RG Check accreditation serves as a valuable tool for managing risk and monitoring the effectiveness of RG programming, and RGC remains dedicated to supporting Rivalry’s harm minimization endeavors.
