He believes that working together with partners is crucial in safeguarding the integrity of sport and betting markets against corruption.
The decision of Galera.bet to join IBIA aligns with Brazil’s recent move to regulate sports betting after years of delays. President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva signed the Provisional Measure (PM), which enforces the 2018 law. By joining IBIA, Galera.bet fulfills the obligation under the PM to become a part of an international body for monitoring sports integrity. IBIA had already planned its expansion into Brazil in anticipation of this regulatory development and has been collaborating with the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming (IBJR).
