OlyBet has joined the IBIA network, which monitors and alerts on betting integrity, to protect sports and sports betting from corruption and criminal activities.
By working alongside licensed operators from around the world, including almost 50 businesses and over 120 sports betting brands, OlyBet will contribute to safeguarding the integrity of sports.
The partnership between OlyBet and IBIA will utilize OlyBet’s knowledge and experience in the sports betting market, particularly in the Baltic region, to combat match-fixing and corrupt betting practices.
In addition to this partnership, IBIA has also formed regulatory partnerships with the Portuguese Online Betting and Gambling Association and the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming to address integrity issues in their respective regions.
During the first quarter of this year, IBIA received 40 suspicious betting alerts across nine sports, with football and tennis accounting for the highest number of alerts. The majority of these alerts were reported in Europe.
