The Michigan Senate recently voted overwhelmingly in favor of the appointment of Williams as the new executive director of the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB), with a vote of 34-1.

Williams has been appointed as the new executive director, replacing Richard Kalm who resigned after 14 years in the role.

The Governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer, has appointed Williams as the replacement for Kalm. However, the appointment is still pending confirmation from the Senate.
