Kokkalis has replaced Christos Dimitriadis as chairman of the company’s board of directors. Dimitriadis will now oversee the supplier’s growth in the US market. Kokkalis previously took over as chief executive in March 2019.

Intralot reported a 55.5% year-on-year decline in revenue for the first half of 2020. The B2B and B2C sides of the business faced difficulties in Turkey and Bulgaria. Revenue fell to €168.2m for the six months to June 30, with licensed operations division experiencing a 74.9% decline to €57.7m.

The company also faced challenges due to the suspension of its Bulgaria-facing brand Eurofootball and the loss of its Turkish sports betting contract in 2019.
