IGT announces the demise of Global Lottery CEO Cairoli

Fabio Cairoli took on the role of CEO at IGT in July 2020. Previously, he served as CEO of the group’s Italian business and operations. Before joining IGT, Cairoli held various management positions at companies such as Lottomatica, Bialetti Group, Star Alimentare, and Julius Meinl Italy. He also had senior marketing roles at Motorola and Kraft Foods Italy.

IGT executive chair Marco Sala paid tribute to Cairoli, describing him as an outstanding executive. Sala praised Cairoli’s passion, drive, sincerity, and commitment to results and innovation. Cairoli’s leadership at IGT was unparalleled, overseeing global lottery sales and operations, Italy lottery operations, global lottery product and sales development, and global lottery technology and support functions.

While IGT assures that the operations Cairoli managed are in capable hands, the company recognizes that he built personal relationships within and beyond the industry. Cairoli was a greatly respected friend to many. IGT extends its deepest condolences to Fabio’s family and dedicates its efforts to supporting their needs during this difficult time.
