Martin Collins joined GiG as the director of talent acquisition in 2019 and later took on the role of director of business development. Now, as the leader of all three teams—sales, business development, and marketing—Collins is expected to enhance GiG’s client acquisition and retention efforts. Ben Clemes, the chief commercial officer and managing director of platform at GiG, expresses confidence in Collins’ ability to align these teams and positively impact the commercial pipeline.
Prior to joining GiG, Collins founded Red Executive, a specialist recruitment agency, and gained five years of experience in the business development team at Betting Jobs, a recruiting agency. Clemes commends Collins for his contributions in empowering GiG’s growth and revenue generation since joining as the director of business development.
Collins expresses his pleasure in working alongside strong sales and marketing teams at GiG. With his extensive experience within the organization and collaboration with the leadership team in developing and implementing their B2B strategy, Collins believes that combining the sales and marketing components will create even more synergy and ensure alignment in all their endeavors. Collins also mentions two standout team members, Ricky Ruddock and Rhea Craib, who he has worked with for over 15 years and 18 months, respectively.
GiG will further expand its workforce with three new hires starting in September, and Collins looks forward to the challenge of delivering success across the organization. This appointment follows the departure of director of sales, James King, announced last month. GiG reported a remarkable 64.0% YoY revenue growth in the first quarter of 2021, with its media services business reaching a record high of €10.0m.
