Cymerman has confirmed that he will be taking on the senior position at Entain CEE, combining it with his role at STS. Previously, he served as the head of corporate development for the regional division at Entain. Cymerman also has experience as a business development manager and commercial manager at Entain, as well as a sales executive at IMG Media and Decade Sports. He expressed excitement about his new roles and looks forward to working with the STS and SuperSport team.
In August 2023, Entain completed the acquisition of STS, integrating it into their operations. This deal, worth £750m (€879m/$955m), was finalized a few months after the agreement was made in June of the previous year. Recent management changes have taken place at STS, with Radim Haluza becoming the CEO and Mateusz Juroszek transitioning to chairman of the supervisory board. Entain CEE, focused on the Central and Eastern Europe market, was established in 2022 for future acquisitions in the region. Entain holds a 75% stake in Entain CEE, while Emma Capital holds the remaining 25% stake.
In 2022, Entain also acquired SuperSport, the leading Croatian market player, for €690m. This acquisition marked Entain’s second investment in the CEE market within a year. Entain has expressed its intention to make further acquisitions in the Central and Eastern Europe region through Entain CEE. Cymerman noted that the acquisition of STS was just the beginning for Entain CEE in an interview with InnovateChange last August.
