Betsson announces new appointments to board of directors

The committee proposed Johan Lundburg as chairman, along with the re-election of Eva Leach, Peter Hamberg, and chief executive Pontus Lindwall to the board.

Tristan Sjöberg previously served on Betsson’s board for six months in 2018 but resigned due to a legal dispute with Swedish tax authorities.

Tristan Sjöberg, vice-chairman of the TCSJohnHuxley Group and co-owner of Knutsson Holdings, will represent Knutsson’s interests as an “active owner” of Betsson on the board.

Eva de Falck and Louise Nylén were proposed as independent directors.

Eva de Falck is a senior consultant, advisor, and board member of Skandiabanken, and has experience with Swedbank and Handelsbanken.

Louise Nylén, CEO of Dynamic Code, has gaming industry experience with Trustly and LeoVegas.

Johan Lundburg will replace Patrick Svensk as chairman after Svensk’s resignation.

Pontus Lindwall, founder of Betsson, initially planned to step down as chief executive but decided to stay on after Svensk’s departure.
