Andria Vidler has been appointed as the new CEO of Allwyn UK, taking over from interim CEO Robert Chvátal. Vidler will lead the company as it prepares to take control of the National Lottery in February 2024. Allwyn was awarded the fourth National Lottery licence in September 2022, ending Camelot’s 28-year tenure. Vidler brings extensive experience to the role, having previously served as CEO of marketing production business Tag Worldwide, Centaur Media, and EMI Music in the UK and Ireland. She has also held senior positions with Bauer Media, Magic Radio, Capital Radio, and worked in marketing and business development at the BBC.

As part of her new role, Vidler will step down from her non-executive board positions at Gamesys and 888. Allwyn UK chair Justin King expressed excitement about Vidler joining the team, emphasizing her expertise in helping entertainment brands adapt to a data-enabled, multichannel landscape, which will be valuable for the future of The National Lottery. Lord Mendelsohn, executive chair of 888, congratulated Vidler on her appointment and thanked her for her significant contributions during her time with the operator.
