Tomic explained that during his time as CEO, Alea expanded its operations globally, covering Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Now, he seeks to share the insights he gained during this journey and take on a positive leadership role within the industry amidst significant changes.
As part of his new role, Tomic will focus on strategic projects within the company while also serving as an ambassador. Meanwhile, Sendra, who has been the COO since 2021, sees his appointment as CEO as a natural progression after three years in the COO position. He looks forward to building on the work done by Alex and the team.
Alea has chosen to explore talent from outside the gaming industry, as demonstrated by the new COO, Ramon Glieneke, who joins from Apartum, a travel industry aggregation business. Sendra highlights Glieneke’s extensive experience and profound understanding of API aggregation as valuable assets for the company.
In a series of video interviews with InnovateChange in 2023, Tomic advocated for gaming companies to consider hiring professionals from other sectors, aiming to create a welcoming environment that prioritizes staff well-being and make the gaming industry more appealing to outsiders. With the addition of Ramon Glieneke as COO, Alea continues its tradition of bringing in talent from diverse backgrounds.
