Ukraine regulator mandates prompt removal of illegal ads by marketing-affiliates

The regulator has highlighted that outdoor advertisements for gambling are prohibited under Ukraine’s advertising law, Article 22. Whilst not specific about the nature of the failings, the regulator has discovered cases of illegal gambling advertisements. In response, KRAIL urges gambling organizers to promptly cease any violations of the law and warns that failure to do so will result in legal action. KRAIL emphasizes that these laws exist to reduce gambling harm and violations undermine this objective. Ukraine recently legalized various forms of gambling, although a tax rate law is pending approval. Additionally, KRAIL has published responsible gambling regulations that prohibit operators from offering bonuses based on player losses.
