William Hill has been named as the official betting partner of the Aintree Grand National festival. The deal also includes sponsorship of three races held at the Aintree racetrack during the festival, namely the Grade 1 William Hill Aintree Hurdle, the William Hill Handicap Hurdle, and the Grade 3 William Hill Handicap Chase.

The festival will take place from 13-15 April, and William Hill will be offering bets with non-runner, money-back terms. Daryl West, William Hill’s head of sponsorship, social and PR, expressed the company’s delight in being involved as the official betting partner for the next three years.

William Hill will refund bets into the betting customer’s account if the horse they wagered on does not end up competing in the race. This offer will be available starting from 9am on 20 February.

Dickon White, Aintree and North West regional director at The Jockey Club, expressed excitement about William Hill’s involvement with their flagship meeting at Aintree for the next three years.

In January, Phil Walker was announced as the new managing director of 888 William Hill, overseeing UK and Ireland operations. Walker previously served as the UK managing director for William Hill and also worked as the group chief operating officer for the Gibraltar stock exchange.
