The brand sponsors over 360 races across 60 fixtures, including title sponsorship of Newbury’s Spring Cup. It is also the official betting partner of Goodwood’s opening Saturday, both of which are broadcast live on TV channel ITV1.
Last year, the operator’s sponsorship was successful despite the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Racing was temporarily suspended from March and returned in June with closed-door events. Some fixtures in the fourth quarter even allowed a limited number of spectators.
Throughout the 2020 season, MansionBet branding appeared at various racecourses, culminating in the MansionBet Challow Hurdle day at Newbury. In 2021, the brand’s first sponsored fixture will be aired live on ITV4 from Wincanton on January 9, followed by further races broadcast on ITV, Racing TV, and Sky Sports Racing.
“We are excited and proud to continue supporting British racing in 2021,” said Mansion’s chief marketing officer David Murphy. “We have made significant progress in improving our racing product over the last year and strive to deliver the best offering to our customers.”
MansionBet is set to put its name to over 60 events at 26 different venues in 2021, supporting racecourses that faced challenges in 2020. David Leyden Dunbar, ARC’s group director of partnerships, expressed satisfaction with the partnership’s growth and looked forward to delivering a fantastic schedule of racing across multiple courses throughout the year.
In addition to its involvement in horse racing, MansionBet signed sponsorship deals in other areas of sport. It became the main shirt sponsor and betting partner of English Championship football club Bristol City. The operator has also been the official UK betting partner of Newcastle United since 2019, with a deal covering the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons. MansionBet operates betting terminals inside the team’s home stadium, St. James’ Park.
