Under the new strategic partnership, BT will advise on matters related to mobile operations within the National Lottery offering. This collaboration also aims to use new technologies to expand the appeal of lottery games.
Last month, Sisal announced its participation in the tender for the lottery license, citing its recent successes and expansion beyond Italy in recent years. Sisal has won lottery tenders in Italy, Morocco, and Turkey.

BT’s Enterprise unit, specifically the corporate and public sector managed by Dean Terry, is confident that their technology solutions can maximize funds raised for good causes while better protecting at-risk players from gambling harms.
Sisal and BT are partnering to support their bid and emphasize technology innovation as a central aspect of a future-fit National Lottery.
The British Gambling Commission launched the fourth license tender in August 2020 and plans to announce a preferred applicant by September 2021.
Several companies are vying for the lottery license, including Pan-European lottery and gaming giant Sazka Group, India’s largest lottery operator Sugal & Damani, and the incumbent licensee, Camelot.
