The management contract for the lottery services will begin on 1 January 2023 and last for eight years, with a chance to extend for an additional two years. It will replace Intralot, the current provider of MDJS’ lottery, betting, and gaming offerings since 2010. The Greek gaming giant, Intralot, announced in March of last year that they agreed to reduce the term of their eight-year agreement to end on 31 December 2022.

MDJS has divided the request for proposal into two parts. The first part includes fixed-odds sports and pari-mutuel betting, including virtual event wagering, with horse and greyhound racing excluded. The second part covers lotteries, instant sports lotteries (including electronic instant games), and raffles. Bidders have the option to submit proposals for either or both parts, with a bidding document fee of MAD10,000 (£797/€955/$1,079) and the submission deadline set for 10am on 4 April. Additionally, bidders must provide a MAD3m security deposit alongside their proposal.
