Intralot announces contract extension with Lotterywest until 2026

1 Min Read

Intralot Australia will continue to provide its lottery operating system and services for the operation of Lotterywest, a respected lottery operator with a significant impact on the West Australian society. The extension reflects the trust in Intralot’s lottery technology, systems, and support.

Last year, Lotterywest also signed a ten-year supply agreement with online lottery supplier Jumbo Interactive. Under this deal, Jumbo provides its white label platform to the operator for its online operation. The initial term of the agreement is three years, with the possibility of three and then four-year extensions.

Intralot announced in November that it anticipates a decrease in earnings of €25m to €28m in 2020, mainly due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the reopening of Australian gambling venues and improved sports betting operations have raised hopes for a recovery in Q4 2020, after facing challenges in Q3. In the third quarter, Intralot reported a 44.9% YoY decline in revenue, amounting to €97.8m, and a quarterly loss of €20.5m.
