In a statement, the bodies advised that participating in gambling outside Poland or using unlicensed websites is illegal according to the Gambling Act. Polish residents who engage in such activities may face a fine of up to PLN4.4m (£841,206/$1.1m/€975,740) as per article 23, sections one and three of the fiscal penal code.

Operators are also liable for fines if they offer gambling products in a manner that contradicts their obtained license or permit. Individuals using foreign licenses and permits to offer gambling in Poland are committing an illegal act, stated the Ministry of Finance and National Revenue Administration.

However, organizing promotional lotteries through internet domains is legal if the director of the tax administration chamber grants a permit. There are currently nearly 15,000 illegal gambling sites listed in the Polish authorities’ blacklist, with new domain names being added frequently.

Here are some of the recently added sites: Agentspins.com, Nitrocasino.com, and various Campobet sites.
