Kentucky Legal Compliance: Sports Wagering Bill Successfully Approved by Committee

An important legal compliance bill was introduced to the House on 22 February 2023 by Representative Michael Meredith (R). The bill has gained significant support with 15 other cosponsors.

The bill has successfully passed through the House Committee on Licensing, Occupations, and Administrative Regulations after receiving a favourable report.

The bill is scheduled to be voted on by the House floor today, March 13th, and is required to pass in the House prior to proceeding to the Senate.

If passed, the legislation would enable Kentucky racetracks to form partnerships with operators for both retail and online sports betting.
