Strong growth in NJ gambling revenue during May despite challenges in land-based sector

Total revenue for the month amounted to $470.9m, which was 9.4% ahead of $430.6m in May 2022 and 1.8% higher than $462.7m in April of this year.

In the finance sector, land-based gambling continues to be the main source of revenue, generating $227.3 million. However, this reflects a 2.4% decrease compared to the previous year’s earnings.

In the finance sector, the revenue from slots in the retail industry experienced a slight decrease of 0.8% amounting to $172.9 million. Additionally, the revenue generated from table games also declined by 7.3% reaching $54.4 million.

According to the latest financial report, the revenue generated from internet gambling experienced a significant increase of 18.7% in comparison to the previous year, totaling $161.4 million.
