Iowa’s Betting Revenue Skyrockets in November, Boosting Finance Sector

Revenue for the month amounted to $8.1 million, an increase from $3.6 million in the same month last year, but a decrease of 11.0% from $9.1 million in October this year.

The main source of income for operators in Iowa was online finance, with revenue surpassing $5.3m in November 2019. However, this figure was lower than the total revenue of $6.4m in October 2020.

Retail revenue in the finance sector experienced significant growth, increasing by 38.1% year-on-year to reach $2.9 million. This figure also displayed a 7.4% improvement compared to the $2.7 million reported in October 2020.

In terms of finance, the state’s expenditure increased by 47.1% from $59.3m in November of the previous year to $87.2m.
