Rush Street Interactive (RSI), a leading online gaming and sports betting operator, has officially launched a new online poker platform in Pennsylvania, created in close collaboration with professional poker player Phil Galfond. Designed with a “by players, for players” approach, the platform aims to enhance the player experience by incorporating insights from the poker community.

A platform built for players, by players

RSI’s new BetRivers poker platform reflects significant input from professional players. Their feedback was central to developing features tailored to the preferences of the poker community.

Phil Galfond’s involvement goes beyond typical ambassador duties; he actively contributed to the platform’s design and development. RSI lauds Galfond as an “industry innovator,” whose expertise ensures that BetRivers Poker meets the needs of players at every level.

Galfond commented on the process, emphasizing that the team kept player experience at the forefront:

“From the amateur playing their first hand to seasoned pros, we focused on fairness, excitement, and generous rewards. I’ve been deeply involved in game design, promotions, and policy decisions, while also building a team that views online poker the way I do.”

Exciting features and gameplay await poker fans

The new BetRivers Poker platform includes various game formats, such as cash games, Sit & Go tournaments, and Multi-Table tournaments. Players can enjoy unique features like Dynamic Avatars, which adapt expressions based on players’ behaviors, offering insights into opponents’ styles.

One of the standout features is the Cub3d Sit and Go Tournaments, where players can win up to 1,500 times their buy-in within minutes, providing a quick and exciting opportunity for big wins.

Designed to complement RSI’s land-based poker rooms, the online platform offers an omnichannel experience, aligning with RSI’s commitment to providing diverse ways to play and win.

Expansion plans and player benefits

BetRivers Poker is launching in Pennsylvania with a competitive edge, offering one of the lowest rakes in the state to provide added value with each hand played. Additionally, players can benefit from RSI’s iRush Rewards program, earning points with every wager that can be redeemed for exclusive prizes.

RSI plans to promote BetRivers Poker extensively through partnerships, including a collaboration with the Poker Night in America (PNIA) series, aiming to quickly introduce the platform to a broader audience.

Currently available only in Pennsylvania, RSI hopes to expand BetRivers Poker to other states soon.

CEO Richard Schwartz expressed enthusiasm for the launch, emphasizing that BetRivers Poker bridges the BetRivers digital experience with the Rivers Casino offerings:

“By aligning with Rush Street Gaming’s strong retail presence, we leverage our strengths to provide a unique poker experience that benefits players and drives growth across our portfolio.”

Tim Drehkoff, CEO of Rush Street Gaming, added that integrating online and in-person poker enhances the player experience by offering seamless loyalty and rewards programs.
