Pennsylvania Breaks Gambling Revenue Record with $5.04bn in FY21-22

In FY2020-21, the revenue from casino games in Pennsylvania reached $X billion, marking a 29.5% increase compared to the previous year. Land-based gambling contributed the most to this revenue, with retail slots generating $X billion, a 27.7% YoY increase, and table games generating $X billion, a 40.7% YoY increase. The revenue from sports betting increased slightly by 2.2% to $X million, but specific figures for online and retail revenue were not disclosed. Other sectors in the Pennsylvania market also saw changes in revenue. Video gaming terminal revenue increased by 32.7% to $X million, while fantasy contests revenue declined by 3.1% to $X million, making it the only sector with a YoY decline. In the last month of FY2021-22, the total market revenue reached $X million, a 0.24% increase compared to the previous year. Retail slots were the primary source of revenue during this period, generating $X million, a 5.5% YoY increase. Land-based table revenue slightly decreased by 1.9% to $X million. Sports betting revenue dropped significantly by 62.7% to $X million, with online revenue at $X million and retail revenue at $X million. Valley Forge and FanDuel remained the market leaders in sports wagering.

The revenue from igaming in the last month increased by 15.8% to $X million, with online slots revenue at $X million, internet table games revenue at $X million, and online poker revenue at $X million. Hollywood Casino at Penn National held the top position in this sector, followed by Rivers Casino Philadelphia and Valley Forge Casino Resort. Video gaming terminal revenue also increased by 6.2% YoY to $X million, while fantasy sports contest revenue declined by 20.4% to $X million.
