The revenue for the first six months to 28 September amounted to CA$687.4m (£400.2m/€443.8m/$517.0m), with the temporary suspension of retail lottery sales and closure of land-based gaming establishments due to Covid-19 from 23 March. The biggest declines in the first half were seen in casinos and venues (such as bingo halls and bars hosting gaming machines), with revenue falling 64.9% to $179.9m and 62.7% to $174.0m, respectively. While retail lottery sales resumed earlier from 4 May, the decline in that sector was still noticeable, with revenue down 25.5% at $335.3m. Inter-company sales decreased significantly to $1.7m. On the other hand, online gambling, which Loto-Québec prioritized during the retail lottery suspension, showed strong performance. Lottery revenue through online channels increased by 292.5% to $60.9m, and casino revenue rose by 131.6% to $105.6m.
