Gauselmann acquires 35 arcades and 60 catering locations in Bremen and Lower Saxony, effective from 1 October.
The company will take over the trading names of Bührmann A + I GmbH, Play Fair Casino GmbH & Co. KG, and Gerdes Spielkonzepte GmbH & Co.
Detlev Graß remains partner and managing director of Bührmann A and I GmbH. The negotiations between the two companies were delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic, lasting almost two years.
Gauselmann’s board member for gaming operations, Dieter Kuhlmann, explains that acquiring these establishments in the Bremen region is practical for them. In 2017, due to legal restrictions, they had to close many locations there. This acquisition allows them to compensate for some of the previously lost locations.
The acquisition also ensures job security for approximately 200 employees. Gauselmann values the skills and experience of these individuals and aims to build upon them.
