The ECA scholarship program, sponsored by Clarion Gaming, AGEM, and the UNLV International Gaming Institute, is now in its fifth year. It is open to all ECA member employees in the casino-games industry.
Lagus, an employee at Veikkaus, Finland’s lottery monopoly, and Alberola, who works at Casino de Monte-Carlo owned by Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer in Monaco, have been awarded the scholarship. They will participate in the Executive Development Programme (EDP), a leadership course held at Lake Tahoe in the US. The scholarship covers the full cost of the program.
The ECA chairman, Per Jaldung, emphasizes the growing reputation of the ECA scholarship program among European casino executives. He highlights the broader learnings offered by the EDP to the daily roles of hard-working employees in the industry.
The EDP is a partnership between the UNLV International Gaming Institute and the University of Nevada, Reno College of Business and Extended Studies. Hermann Pamminger, the general secretary of the ECA, expresses the significance of returning the EDP to Lake Tahoe, as the land-based casino sector relies on in-person interactions.
In 2022, the ECA awarded two diversity scholarships, each valued at €12,000, to Kirsi and Celine. These scholarships recognize their dedication and career-oriented focus in the casino-games industry. Both professionals will gain unique knowledge and insights from the EDP to enhance their everyday roles.
The ECA looks forward to tracking Kirsi and Celine’s progress, and wishes them success in their futures.
