Declining casino game revenue in Michigan during April following March Madness surge

In the world of casino games, online gaming remains the top revenue generator. Last month, it raked in an impressive $94.85m, experiencing just a slight decrease of 0.26% compared to the previous month.

In April, online casino gaming operators recorded a total handle of $249.9m, reflecting a significant decrease of 30.4% compared to the previous month of March.

Richard S. Kalm, executive director of Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB), attributed the decrease in revenue to the popularity of March Madness, a major event in casino-games.
