The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has released new statistics about the performance of BetStop, Australia’s national self-exclusion register. The latest report highlights the number of new registrants in June.

  • Total Registrants: By the end of June, 25,972 people had opted to exclude themselves from gambling.
  • Active Exclusions: As of June 30, 21,381 people maintained active exclusions, with 4,591 having completed their exclusion period or canceled early.

    • Victoria: 7,020 registrants
    • Queensland: 5,236 registrants

BetStop was launched in August last year to address Australia’s problem gambling rates, following similar practices in other regulated jurisdictions. By the end of October 2023, over 10,000 players had used BetStop to manage their gambling habits.
