drug information programme design

A firm believer that knowledge is power, the New Zealand Drug Foundation recognises that access to accurate, clear information is essential if drug problems are to be reduced in the community. The Drug Foundation already provides lots of information about common drugs in New Zealand but is interested in taking a more strategic approach to information services.

Action and Impact
innovate change worked with the Drug Foundation to develop a compelling and effective plan for drug information. We drew on our expertise in social innovation, social marketing and co-design methodology to facilitate an innovation process. This involved close engagement with a core group of co-designers including Drug Foundation staff, media and communications professionals, health specialists, potential service users and other stakeholders.

The outcome of this work is a concise yet comprehensive drug information plan that clearly articulates:

  • What is the change desired?
  • Who do we want to ‘do’ that change?
  • How are we going to get them to do it?
