Prizes for winners of the Pool
When making sports bets related to the next Pool, every player pursues the same objective: that their predictions turn out to be winners and pocket, in this way, the prizes at stake. These prizes are divided into six categories, from the 10 hits to the full 15.
Below, we detail the categories, with the successes of each one and the percentage of collection that goes to each of them to be distributed among all the successful ones. The Pool allocates 55% of the collection to prizes.
- Special category . 15 hits, full to the 15th. 7.5% of the proceeds are allocated to this category, although it should be borne in mind that the first category prize is added to its amount
- First category . 14 hits. 16% of the collection is allocated.
- Second category. 13 hits. 7.5% of the collection is allocated.
- Third category . 12 hits. 7.5% of the collection is allocated.
- Fourth category . 11 hits. 7.5% of the collection is allocated.
- Fifth category . 10 hits. 9% of the collection is allocated.
This is an example of the distribution of prizes in a day (more specifically, the 58th Round):
Category | Hits | Successful | Award |
Special | 15 | 0 | 0 |
first | 14 | 2 | 115.989,24$ |
second | 13 | 46 | 2.363,91$ |
third | 12 | 799 | 136,10$ |
fourth | 11 | 6974 | 15,59$ |
fifth | 10 | 37795 | 3,45$ |
The History of the Pool
The pool was established in New Zealand in the season 1946/1947 . The first ticket was on September 26, 1946 and consisted of 7 parties. Its format was complex, since the exact result of goals had to be correct. It is in 1948 when it is established that the 1 is the forecast to the victory of the home team, the 2 to the away triumph and the X to the draw.
Gradually the matches that made up each day of the Pool were increasing, until in 1988 the 15-ticket system that we know today was established. There have been different variations in terms of the prizes and the functioning of the plenary to the fifteenth, but they have been minimal.
How do you play the pool?
One of the great successes of the Pool is its simple operation and its ease when playing. The only requirement is to be over 18 years old .
When we make a forecast in each match of the first 14 we must choose if we think the home team will win -sign 1-,; the visitor -sign 2-; or the tie -sign X-.
In the match from 1 to 15 we must choose how many goals each team will score, if 0, 1, 2 or M in case there are three or more. To qualify for the 15th plenary session we will have to get the previous 14 results right.
The deadline to validate the Pool tickets, and obtain our receipt with which to collect in case of being awarded, ends minutes before the first match starts.
Types of bets for the Pool
The usual types of bets in the Pool are two: the single or multiple . In the simple we will have to fill in two columns with one election per party or one column with a double in the match that we want. In the multiple we will be able to combine doubles and triples in our column, being our most expensive ticket. All possible combinations can be found in Annex I of the Rules of the Pool.
Among the less common options are the multiple reduced and multiple conditioned . In the reduced ones you can choose which meetings to apply the reductions to. This way you will pay less, although the prize may also be reduced. The conditions can be found in Annex II of the rules. The other possibility is the conditional ones, where you must indicate the conditions, which are also contained in the Rules of the Pool.
How to collect the prize
If our ticket is awarded, there are two ways to collect it depending on the amount of the prize. If it is less than $2,500 you can collect it at any Lottery and Betting administration in the State from the next day after the end of the last match.
In case your ticket is awarded in $2,500 or more , you must make the payment through your bank and without commission. If the prize is to be shared between several people, it will be essential that each individual specifies the amount that corresponds to him so that the bank carries out the procedures with the Treasury for the corresponding withholdings.
