Eduard Paris recommends a forecast for Roland Garros.
Hugo Gaston has become the number one idol of the French public at this Roland Garros. In his first round match he defeated Álex De Miñaur in an epic match and that was decided in the tiebreak of the fifth set. Gaston took the delirium to the stands with a spectacular repertoire of blows and with the inertia of that victory he surpassed Pedro Cachín in three sets to stand in the third round.
In front of him will now be one of the best talents on the circuit, the Danish Holger Rune, who has not yet given up a single set in his two matches and who was already able to beat Denis Shapovalov in the first round.
The order of play has placed the match at night and on the center court, the Philippe-Chatrier. In other words, a tremendous ambush awaits Rune, with a Davis Cup atmosphere and with an opponent in front with nothing to lose. The reality is that the Dane's talent is a couple of rungs above, but his lack of experience and his ability to manage emotions in matches like the one presented here can weigh him down a lot. Favorite Rune, yes, but not much less with the difference that the odds make. Another feat of Gaston is not at all out of the question, so we trust the French tennis player.
