The product, aimed at complementing the business’ existing Software as a Service (SaaS) licensing model, allows technically capable clients to modify or build up the supplier’s existing application. This provides operators with more options in managing their platforms and supplements the software. GiG also views this as a new commercial model to enhance its existing offering.
GiG’s Enterprise Solution is exclusively available to businesses with the necessary technical ability to integrate the services into their current systems. It is considered a “powerful and bespoke” solution that caters to the increasing demand in the sector for greater technological and roadmap flexibility.
On March 31st, GiG announced signing its first licensing agreement for the new product with an unnamed “successful industry group”. The agreement includes a significant up-front fee for the license, with subsequent fees added throughout the term. The average yearly contract value exceeds current averages for company SaaS contracts.
Richard Brown, GiG CEO, explained the business’ approach to the new product and the market gap it aims to fill, stating, “We have long held the view that for some operators, who have the technical ability and experience, a model that opens up our platform and technology would create further collaborative improvement of the product and ultimately enhance the customer experience. We have seen increasing demand for operators to gain that flexibility and with our next generation platform, developed with this structure in mind, we can offer this service in a controlled, supported, and sustainable manner. Ultimately, our new GiG Enterprise product provides a solution that many operators crave, and we don’t believe is fully offered by the industry today.”
