Through a partnership, WagerWire’s proprietary technology will be combined with Betr’s V1 sportsbook platform. This allows for trading within both WagerWire’s and Betr’s mobile apps.
Today, Betr launched its real-money sportsbook product in Virginia, expanding its presence to three active US states.
As part of the deal, Betr and WagerWire will collaborate on an original video series to be released later this year. Additional media projects are also planned.
WagerWire’s technology facilitates the purchase and trading of active sports bets and fantasy bets.
Zach Doctor, co-founder and CEO of WagerWire, believes that the technology provides a unique category for sports bettors in the market.
Betr and WagerWire aim to create a fun and exciting sports betting experience by combining an intuitive and gamified product with engaging media and a passionate community.
According to Doctor, this partnership introduces a new perspective on sports betting, one that has not been explored extensively in the market.
The partnership will also integrate microbetting with traditional and secondary markets. Betr launched its microbetting app in September 2022.
Betr Gaming and Betr Media are the two businesses offered by Betr. Betr Gaming acquired Chameleon from FansUnite for $7.4m in May this year.
Betr plans to enhance the sports betting user experience through product innovation by integrating WagerWire’s technology into its new V1 sportsbook platform built on the recently acquired Chameleon platform.
Previously, Betr announced plans to expand its offerings in different segments and raised $35m in Series A2 funding in June.
