Betring LLC has been operating the Parimatch brand in Russia under a 2016 agreement with Parimatch Tech. The agreement granted Betring all rights to use the Parimatch trademark in the country. However, Parimatch Tech has now sent termination documents to Betring, requesting the cessation of brand operations in Russia. Parimatch Tech is also in the process of implementing restrictions on the use of the Parimatch brand in local sponsorship contracts.
The Parimatch brand, established in Ukraine in 1994, has its main development center located in the capital city of Kyiv. Parimatch Tech expressed its pride in the Ukrainian roots of the company and its commitment to supporting the country in these challenging times. The company strongly condemns the military aggression against Ukraine and is taking various actions to lend assistance. Parimatch Tech has allocated UAH30m (£750,180/€905,610/$1.0m) for protective ammunition, food, medicine, and logistics to help Ukrainians defending their country.
In addition to this, Parimatch Tech has pledged to continue paying salaries, hiring new employees, and honoring guarantees for those planning to leave the business before the war. The gambling industry as a whole has rallied to support Ukraine during the conflict. Recently, the Gaming Industry for Ukraine initiative was launched to raise £250,000 for the war-displaced people in Ukraine. The proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to Choose Love’s Ukraine Crisis Fundraiser. Currently, the initiative has received pledges of over £76,000.
Operators LeoVegas and ATG have also made significant donations to the Red Cross. ATG contributed SEK2m to the charity, while LeoVegas committed SEK500,000.
